Anthony Gantous has been a trial lawyer since 2003.  His practice focuses on wrongful death, medical negligence, serious auto and truck accidents, and business litigation.  Anthony also serves on the Criminal Justice Act panel of public defenders for the Federal Eastern District of Virginia, representing indigent defendants in the Eastern District when appointed by the Federal Court.  He is licensed to practice law in Virginia and Ohio.

Anthony earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from American University in 1997, and then went on to graduate cum laude from Pepperdine University School of Law in 2003.  While in law school, Anthony was a member of the Pepperdine Law Review, served as a teaching assistant, and also earned a Certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution.

Following law school, Anthony practiced for over five years with a national law firm headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, where he primarily focused on the defense of medical negligence and product liability claims, as well as business litigation matters.  In 2009, Anthony moved with his wife and daughters to Virginia Beach, Virginia, and joined the team of attorneys at Pierce & Thornton, a law firm dedicated to representing the rights of the severely injured.  In 2012, 2013 and 2014, Anthony was selected by his peers to be included on the "Virginia Rising Stars" list, an honor reserved for no more than 2.5 percent of lawyers in Virginia who are either 40 years old or younger, or in practice for ten years or less.

Anthony made the switch from the defense bar to the plaintiff's bar because of his strong desire to help individuals through difficult times.  He feels honored and privileged to be able to use his law degree to fight for the rights of people who have been severely injured or who have lost a loved one due to another's negligence.
